Become a Volunteer

‘Our vision is a world where people with a learning disability are valued equally, listened to and included.’

Would you like to gain more experience in assisting people with learning difficulties? Can you help by sparing a few hours an evening a week, or maybe a week at a time to support our holidays?

  7 O’Clock Club support

Our evening club has been popular with adults with learning disabilities for the past thirty years. We’re always looking for new helpers, drivers, or members!

  Summer respite camps

Are you a support assistant, cook, medic, or driver looking to join our volunteering team? We have opportunities available to help at our holiday camps this year.

  Amazing teams

If you’re 18yrs+ and have a positive, friendly attitude, plus are really keen to help people with learning disabilities, then you’d fit in well with our amazing team!

   International experience

We’re proud to have an International team of friendly volunteers, many of who meet up every year to work at our camps.

  DBS screening

All volunteers must hold a valid DBS certificate to work with our team. If you don’t have one at the moment, you’ll be asked to organise this in the volunteer application form.

Yes, I would like to be kept up-to-date on Oxford Mencap's news and events.
